Dawn for Healthcare in Nsukka
Nsukka cultural zone has suffered as a result of lack of modernised and well equipped hospitals. This has no doubt cut short the lives of many people who on referrals to Enugu for access to better health care service, die along Opi Nsukka road. One of the interest areas of our Bishop, Most Rev. Godfrey Igwebuike Onah, in raising the standard of living of the people of our cultural area is the provision of a hospital facility of international Standard. Hence, as soon as he was done with the dedication of the Cathedral, he swiftly shifted gaze to Shanahan Hospital. Since this shift, Shanahan has worn a new look with the gigantic hospital complex he is building. Passing through the hospital one could visibly see hope clearly written on the edifice.
In a move to complete this building, our Father Bishop invites Nsukka sons and daughters and all people of goodwill to a fundraiser on the 6th of April being Easter Monday.
Come, let’s put an end to incessant referrals to Enugu. Come, let us help our sick ones. Come, let us together give hope to the weak.
